Phew, painfully bad.

A reasonably nice opening scene, Madonna's deliciously wrong techno song and a haggard, long-haired James Bond made the first half hour successful, which almost made me wonder why the score for this film is so low. Yes, I started to understand that soon after. From the moment Bond arrives at that ice palace, Die Another Day drops to a very sad level, and doesn't recover. Browsing on that tidal wave is too embarrassing for words, something like this shouldn't get past a test script. With the scene it gets more boring and above all more boring (not because of a lack of action, but because of uninteresting, poorly portrayed action), and that results in an ending that I also prefer to forget quickly. And what was really going on with the special effects? It looked worse than any other Bond film from start to finish.
Too bad about all the wasted acting, because quite a nice cast has been gathered here. Toby Stephens and Rosamund Pike: I'm a huge fan of both, but they're getting shitty material to work with here.

Well, one to quickly forget. Brosnan's 007 era ends with a downer. 2*

The last Bond film with Brosnan as Bond and also one of the worst films of the series. That certainly wasn't Brosnan's fault, I think he's a very good Bond. He just did an excellent job in the four films that he was allowed to play 007.

The movie starts off so well. The first hour is just fine, except for the terrible interruption of Madonna's title song. By far the worst of the entire franchise. How on earth did that ever pass the 'test' I wonder.

The part in Iceland is also very bad. CGI is of a very sad level and if the story doesn't make sense, there is no basis left to create a good film.

I just want to mention the tragic low point of the surf scene.. How can something like this end up in a movie that is watched by tens of millions of people worldwide. Wouldn't there have been one who got the idea during the editing of the film not to show this.

As mentioned, Brosnan is just strong again and Pike is doing well too. The rest of the cast is on the same level as the movie. Very bad.

2* stood and remain standing.

one of the better bond movies nothing ever the same as we know from the bond movies.

besides yes there is the female seduction that can be seen again and again in bond films still find more attention to the tension and the action and he is also different from the other bond films he also gets the help of a handsome partner who knows how to hold her own. he is also not always a yes marble and he dares to go against his authority so his bosses where he works for. without the special gadgets of Q yes for me a better bond I also think Pierce Brosnan is very good just like other bond films
