A delightfully pulpy gangster series from Guy Ritchie, who also directs the first two episodes. The plot isn't exactly original—we've all seen it before and better—but the top-notch cast makes it a real gem. With Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Paddy Considine, and Helen Mirren, the series naturally boasts an impressive roster of heavyweights, who get the chance to let loose. Brosnan, in particular, is fantastic. There's also plenty of raw violence and more than enough engaging storylines to easily keep your attention.
