Animal Kingdom plot
The series revolves around 17-year-old Joshua "J" Cody who moves in with his carefree family in their Southern California home after his mother dies of a heroin overdose. The family is led by the tough Janine "Smurf" Cody and her right-hand man Baz who runs the case and makes the decisions. The family also includes Pope, the oldest and most dangerous of the Cody boys. Craig is the tough and fearless second son and Deran the troubled, suspicious "baby" of the family.

It's fun for a while, but it's a lot of the same. The acting is usually fair to good, especially Barkin. I don't think I'll watch six seasons of this, though; it's not good or interesting enough for me.
It also amazes me how quickly some people recover from a serious gunshot wound...
Those guys can really do it all, surfing, skydiving, skateboarding, great drinking etc etc
