"THE BUMSTEADS...AMERICA'S FAVORITE FAMILY IS COMING YOUR WAY!"
Blondie and Dagwood Bumstead are very happy that they can finally go on holiday and they even make the front page of the newspaper. However, Dagwood's boss JC Dithers can't afford to miss him and he won't give his consent. Dagwood therefore resigns, but only really feels the humiliation when Blondie goes to his boss to ask for the job back. Dithers decides to hire Blondie in Dagwood's position. However, the houseman's job is not for Dagwood. He leaves his son Baby Dumpling with Blondie's sister and then goes fishing...
