A blunder by Dagwood Bumstead with a date to a party planned by his boss and intended for his son has resulted in a contract being missed. As a result, Dagwood loses his job again. He then gets a job with construction work on a construction site of the lost customer and he discovers that the workmen are using questionable material for their assignment. Dagwood tells this to Blondie Bumstead. .
