Blondie's Hero plot

Dagwood Bumstead plans to take a vacation during the two weeks his business is being reorganized, but his wife Blondie would rather spend the money repainting their house. When Blondie sends Dagwood to the bank to make the final payment on their house, Dagwood gets into a fight with the grocer and is thoroughly beaten. Then Sergeant Gateson of a nearby reservist recruiting office advises Dagwood to apply to him to improve his resilience. However, comic complications are inevitable.
