Cowboy and the Prizefighter plot

"It's man-to-man... Fist-to-fist excitement!"

Red-haired Red Ryder gives Steve Stevenson, who saved his life, a job on his ranch. Red's aunt 'The Ducess' knows Steve's father, who is said to have committed suicide after losing his ranch over a prize boxing bet. Steve refuses to believe his father committed suicide and The Ducess agrees. On the way to the staff, Red, rancher Buckshot Blodgett, and young Little Beaver can fend off a stagecoach heist. The gambler Mark Palmer, who is responsible for the death of Steve's father, is a passenger on the carriage. In town, Red learns that Palmer and saloon owner Bart Osborne want to take possession of his ranch.
