Sheriff of Las Vegas plot

"GUN-SLINGIN' RIP-ROARIN THRILLS and ACTION!"

When the Las Vegas sheriff is killed in a bank robbery, Red Ryder is named sheriff. Judge Homer T. Blackwell asks his banker Arthur Stanton for a list of possibilities to disinherit his young and wild son Tom. When the judge is found murdered, Tom is the prime suspect. Red Ryder is convinced that Tom is innocent and he hides him in a school building. He informs banker Stanton about this, but not long after, the school building is stormed by gunmen, who want to lynch Tom. Red sees that one of these gunmen has a Derringer. The judge was killed with bullets from a Derringer. The Derringer's owner is fatally injured in the schoolhouse shooting, but he manages to tell Red who wrongly accused Tom.
