Why I haven't rated this movie very well the last few times I've seen it is beyond me. This is typically a Bond film as I like to see it.

First of all, a villain who doesn't even impress so much because of his acting, but especially because of the place where he has taken up residence. An impressive sea creature in the shape of a spider that makes a big impression when it comes up from the sea. Beautiful decor with an eye for details.

This Stromberg's sidekick, Jaws, is one of the great icons of the entire Bond series. With his steel teeth, he takes out one person after another and even opens metal locks like it's nothing.

Furthermore, Moore is really very good here, funny and sometimes hard. His co-star Barbara Bach is a beautiful appearance, really has more to do than play a beautiful Bond girl, only her acting sometimes leaves something to be desired.

Furthermore, this film is of course known for the white Lotus Esprit, the technical gadgets that are incorporated in it are great, culminating in the scene in the water.

The locations are beautiful, the opening scene in the snow is fine and the story is simple but effective.

Increase to 3.5*, but close to 4*. One of the best of the series so far.

Still a more than decent Bond film. I especially thought the combination with Triple X was a successful combination. Of course Jaws also stands out and as an executive bad guy / bodyguard he has become a legendary opponent of Bond, more for me personally than the dwarf Nick Nack and the guarded Oddjob from Goldfinger. In the lesser Moonraker, Kiel gets to show up again as the dreaded Jaws.

Furthermore, the introduction of the beautiful white Lotus that even turns out to be multifunctional. Still an iconic scene when it emerges from the water. In addition, the plot is quite OK and action and humor are intertwined. Stromberg as a bad guy is quite successful and the opening scene is also great.

My fav Roger Moore's (also his fav) James Bond movie, and this one has everything a real Bond movie should be. Good bad guys Stromberg and of course Jaws, beautiful Bond girls Barbara Bach and Caroline Munroe, lots of action and humor and not to forget beautiful environments eg Sardinia all in all a real classic among the Bond films.
