Rooster plot

A bestselling author decides to move to the university where his daughter teaches. Their relationship is complicated and strained, but he tries to support her after her husband leaves her for a student. Despite his own personal turmoil, he is persuaded by the dean to take on a role on campus. He befriends students, attends frat parties, and grapples with his image as "Rooster"—the tough, sexually active protagonist from his own books.
