Dit was een prachtige film met humor en tragedie. Voor beide hoofdrolspelers glansrollen. Ik lees dat sommigen over herhaling schrijven, dat idee is geen moment bij me opgekomen. Er zijn steeds andere situaties met andere herinneringen of juist het gebrek daar aan. Ja, het gaat veel over Alzheimer, maar meer nog over de liefde tussen twee mensen. Met een actiefilm zeg je ook niet 'alweer actie, wat een herhaling', dus ik snap die opmerkingen niet zo goed.

Dit is een uitstekende film die de intrinsieke goedheid van (de meeste) mensen laat zien. Oudere mensen met verloren partners en kinderen met te weinig tijd voor hun ouders, of met de verkeerde (overbezorgde) aandacht. Een film met een alien zonder het gejaagde over de top gedoe zoals DC/Marvel, en met subtiele humor ook nog. Sterk gespeelde karakters, ook van de alien die geen woord zegt de hele film. Het eind vond ik het sterkst, daar waar Ben op de bank zit zonder ogenschijnlijk contact met zijn kinderen, komt Jules hem opzoeken van een 'Galaxy far away'. Mooi contrast.
