"Destiny is what you make of it."
Journalist Lanie Kerrigan interviews a mentally disturbed homeless man for an insignificant piece. However, he tells her that she will die in a week. This prompts Lanie to take action, and she tries to change the pattern of her life.

Light-hearted, unpretentious little thing that rightly doesn't take itself very seriously.
Ideally suited for a rainy afternoon or when there is nothing else to see.
Angelina is worth a look, but comedy doesn't seem quite her thing. And really sorry about those lips.

He was not wrong. The story is not as original and is a bit similar to eg "Last Holiday", although it was more drama than comedy in genre. The story kept me interested until the very end, although it was quite predictable. The cast certainly didn't do a bad job and you certainly couldn't miss Angelina this time with her very blonde haircut.
The genre is a mixture of drama, comedy and romance and the film does look away quickly. It is not a real topper, but still slightly more than average. Worth checking out when they show it on TV.

Reasonable. Angelina Jolie plays a serious career woman who is told by a man who can predict the future that she has only a short time to live. What follows is predictable. Of course Lanie starts to wonder if she should put so much time into her career, and if she shouldn't make some more time for friends/parents/new love. There are some nice scenes and actors like Jolie, Burns and Shalhoub do well, but the predictable and mediocre script doesn't help them. The film is classed as comedy, but there is very little to laugh about Lanie's identity crisis. Not even Jolie can change that.
