West of Cimarron plot

'Stony' Brooke, 'Tucson' Smith and 'Lullaby' Joslin form 'The Three Mesquiteers'. After the American Civil War, the trio returns to Texas. They find themselves embroiled in a battle between the Confederate opportunists led by Captain Hawks and the local insurgents led by former Colonel Grant Morgan. The locals suffer under the Hawks regime and 'The Three Mesquiteers' decide to join Grant Morgan.
