Agatha Christie's Poirot plot

When the Germans invaded Belgium in 1914, the civilian population was hit hard. Many Belgian citizens flee to the neutral Netherlands or to England. One of them is Hercule Poirot, a former police officer. Poirot is lovingly cared for at Styles St. Mary in England and develops an affection for his new homeland. After the war, he settles as a private detective in London, in a flat in Whitehaven Mansions. He teams up with former British Army officer Captain Arthur Hastings and his secretary Miss Lemon.

"Cat Among the Pigeons" is another strong adaptation of one of Agatha Christie's best stories. In my personal top 10, this one could definitely be in the top five.

Contrary to the book, Poirot is present from the start. In the book he only shows up after plenty of trouble at the prestigious boarding school has already passed. Because he initially remains rather in the background, this does not detract from the tension and the events in the TV episode.
