"Love knows."

Oasis begins when Jong-Du gets out of prison, where he spent nine months for a fatal collision, a crime actually committed by his older brother. Jong-Du is a somewhat naive, maladjusted man, a child in a large body. One day, Jong-Du visits the family of the man who was killed. The man's son is about to move, leaving behind his spastic sister Gong-Ju. Jong-Du is immediately fascinated by Gong-Ju. He sends her presents and comes to visit her one day. After a difficult acquaintance, an unlikely romance blossoms between them. Jong-Du sees through Gong-Ju's handicap and sees a beautiful young woman. For Gong-Ju, he is the first man to view her as a woman. However, the families of the two lovers see the romance for something completely different.
