Aliens plot

"This time it's war."

After 57 years of hypersleep, Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) happens to be picked up by a spaceship. She is given time to relax and hopes that the nightmare with the deadly alien monster is finally over. Unfortunately, a colony of terraformers on planet LV-426 has discovered the spaceship from which the Alien came. A few weeks after Ripley's return, the control centre loses contact with LV-426. Ripley decides to go to LV-426 with an elite commando group to see if they can help the settlers. But upon arrival on the planet, it turns out that the colony is completely deserted. Or not?

A relief after all the goofs I've seen lately. Actually, I should watch the entire Alien series again, because I only now noticed that the cat had also traveled in Ripley's capsule. Jonesy, the first cat ever to go into hypersleep! I discovered a small mistake, because I also saw Bishop get out of one of those sleeping pods. Why should an android be put into hypersleep, I wonder?

Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley, my big screen heroine. Don't be lectured by her witty answers and cool looks. "I can handle myself," she says to Hicks as he explains how such a machine gun works. And Burke who makes a lame joke after the meeting, but who completely ignores them, haha... But never ignorant or false, always sincere and very brave. Motherly too, just like the Mother.. But she is not a robotic creature that you often see in action figures, it is also not the case that she is not afraid of anything, on the contrary, when the group uses seeing a tracker that they are surrounded by aliens, a soldier drops his gun right off the bat and Ripley is shocked, so am I. She is also always grandly portrayed as some iconic figure, so oblique from below, red glow over her face, wind in her hair, flamethrower in her arms.. Some scenes are also very comical: on a At some point Ripley and Hicks are being chased by a Xenomorph, they reach an elevator, get in and then they stop for a moment and nothing happens for 2-3 seconds and then Hicks suddenly realizes that he still has to press the elevator button .. But don't discount Private Vasquez either, even though such a tough bitch, a real butch , with her muscular arms and red bandana. One of the coolest comments/jokes in film history comes from her:

Hey Vasquez! Have you ever been mistaken for a man?

No, have you?

What a great sequel! Although Aliens naturally resembles Alien (spaceship, Ripley, a robot on board, an asshole on board and the final scene [nice ode], it also differs strongly from its illustrious predecessor: More action, less suspense, more spectacular images (including unforgettable horror images), more Aliens, heavily armed marines, some tender moments and now and then some humor (last two mainly by the little girl Newt). said Newt had lasted a long time without a weapon and then Newt saluted

I found the script somewhat unbelievable at times. An example is that halfway through their mission to the aliens, the marines are suddenly told not to shoot because the whole thing explodes. That is suddenly thought of and was therefore a forced way to make the mission a lot scarier and more dangerous. The ending was also a bit weird, but also had very cool moments.

I really enjoyed it, thought this was one of the scariest movies I've seen and it's even more amazing that it's much more than a horror movie.

Very strong successor. I don't know if I like this one better than the first part. In Hollywood, they say this one is even better.

I just really like them both. Beautiful effects. How good does the alien look. Then you can see again that CGI is sometimes not beautiful after all.

The beast looks very realistic, moves well, the sounds and special effects are amazing.

I bought this film together with the other parts for 1 euro at a flea market. So 0.25 euro cents per film. What a bargain, for such good films.
