Fantastic movie. It will be back on TV in a few days. To watch, of course, even if it is for the thirtieth time curious what my 14-year-old daughter thinks.

I also think this is one of the best westerns ever, the top 10 listing is worth it as far as I'm concerned. A film that also cares a lot about the characters that are performed. Eastwood and Wallach were gold as a film duo, and their performance together is particularly impressive; As far as I'm concerned, Wallach impresses most as the treacherous Mexican for whom you feel some sympathy. The scene with his brother in the monastery ensures that he is also the only one who is given a (tragic) background.

Eastwood may be the Good, but when he leaves Tuco in the desert he doesn't show his best side. Tuco pays him well with a walk in the desert, and I think "blondie" thinks he deserves this punishment. He does not seek revenge and in the end he releases Tuco and shares the loot with him . Without using words you know what the characters think about each other. Another such moment was at the bridge they were dynamiting. When they tell each other the locations of the loot, it is Blondie who is lying and Tuco is telling the truth. For the rest I know much better films from Eastwood than this one I have to say. Always nice to see him but he didn't really impress.

As for the Bad, it plays a minor role throughout the entire movie and only pops up a few times. He is the only real enemy and would have liked to see him a bit more, because the rock-hard Van Cleef fits like a glove. Of course, the duel scene in the graveyard is a legendary piece of cinema, magnificently set up by Leone with the music of Morricone. If that's not a goosebumps moment, then I don't know what is.
