After I quite liked the 3rd part, I also looked forward to the 4th part.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be an absolute flop.

Some negative points I could think of:

- The basic idea doesn't make sense biologically. If one were to find genetic material from Ripley, one would only clone her (without the Alien), since such a beast cannot modify her DNA.

- The characters were completely superficial and made no sense.

- Sometimes it is not clear whether the actors were bad, or whether they were ordered to overact unnecessarily.

- Dialogues that make no sense.

- For the last 20 minutes it feels like you're watching an ordinary splatter movie.

- The special effects look terrible.

I just can't think of anything positive about this movie. Hence the absolute minimum score.

I thought this was a wonderful movie! Lots of action! Lots of Xenomorphs!

This one vastly outperformed the previous 2 films in every way!

He had everything that part 1 was missing but he was missing 1 thing that makes Alien (1979) so incredibly good...that very oppressive isolation feeling!

Alien: Resurrection is simply a great movie!

I actually felt a lot of pity for that Xenomorph/human at the end...

Very much enjoyed!

This Alien is again more than worth it and is a joy for all sci-fi horror fans! We are 200 years later and the resurrection is fine and offers enough possibilities in the story. Characters are also surprising. Some scenes are really cool and the humor is good too. Film underlines once again that there is only one monster and that is humanity itself. 2 Minuses: the guy who deliberately fires bullets through the ceiling and why Call wants to leave Ripley behind but always wants to take that fertilized guy with him.
