Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers plot

"Terror Never Rests in Peace"

Six years ago, Michael Myers terrorized the town of Haddonfield and his niece Jamie Lloyd disappeared. She was kidnapped by a group of Michael's accomplices. Now, six years later, Jamie has escaped and has given birth to Michael's son. Jamie returns to Haddonfield to once again seek help from Dr. To call in Loomis. Meanwhile, the family who adopted Laurie Strode lives in Myers' childhood home; the family that is constantly watched by Michael. Michael Myers is weighed down by Thorn's curse, which leads him to murder the entire family. It's up to Dr. Loomis and Tommy Doyle to stop the psychopath.

drowsy.

The Halloween movie for nighttime. During the day, watch parts 1 to 5 and use part 6 to fall asleep again. Apparently the film was released later because part 5 already received lesser reactions, but it has not gotten any better with the delay.

The Halloween series has become a bit more modern with part 6. The brutality has been cranked up a lot and Myers is physically even stronger and more of a standard killer than in the previous parts. I don't even know if they still use the same actor. It doesn't matter much, Myers has already lost its charm in this part.

Acting is pretty bad. Harris was eager to participate, but her absence is a bummer. Her replacement can't compete with her acting either. Luckily Brandy quickly disappeared from the scene. Also other crew members, including a familiar face (Rudd) are not doing too well. Pleasance was still the best.

As I mentioned before, it's all a bit harder and more brutal. Certainly in the final it sometimes wants to surprise in terms of tone, but it is no match for the direction that this film has chosen. Where part 5 slowly went towards the supernatural side, this part goes towards the silly. This whole cult thing really should have been let out.

It all just goes on and on and doesn't want to get anywhere but good. I was seriously doubting whether this part was going to top part 3 in terms of badness. It's also hard for me to compare them because Part 6 is a Halloween movie that really takes a modern path.

I thought it was a silly part in the series. No tension, few surprises and few memorable parts. Myers is not special anymore, and visually there is even less Halloween present than in previous parts. A nice finale with some brutal images, but then you've had most of it unfortunately.

I can be very brief about this. Abominable product, if possible even worse than part 5. Not an ounce of tension, horrible acting and, however incomprehensible it may be, hardly any kills and certainly hardly any gore or brutality. All so tame. However, what makes this movie even worse than the other bad sequels (because Halloween 5 was also really terrible), is that very stupid Thorn curse stuff. Very interesting on paper, but ridiculous in actuality. That certainly doesn't belong in a Halloween movie. The only nice thing is in fact the presence of Paul Rudd, who makes his debut here. Just like Johnny Depp and Kevin Bacon, a great actor who makes his start in an 80s horror franchise. But actually it's barely worth the 1*.

Very bad Halloween part. Terrible actors except for Paul Rudd, but he does play a dull role.

The kills are not strong and not really unique. We've all seen it.

A waste of your time.
