TS and Brodie are two school friends who are dumped by their girlfriend on the same day. They decide to hang out at the local mall, as they often do, where they run into troublemakers Jay and Silent Bob. Together they come up with a plan that will allow them to mess up the mall and win back the loves.

This is Smith's earliest work after Clerks and he manages to deliver entertaining films in his View Askewniverse. The characters are recognizable, the dialogues are occasionally very sharp and coarse and of course Jay and Silent Bob should not be missing either. Although I think they are a bit stronger in other films. However, I don't think the main plot is the strongest, so the film should have more of the crazy characters than the nicely written story.

Excellent film in which two friends are dumped by their girlfriends on the same day. Nice characters filled in by a nice cast. Funny situations and original dialogues that only make sense in Kevin Smith's universe. The story itself is entertaining, but it's the individual scenes that make the film here.

Nice and colorful comedy that alternates successful jokes with blandness. A little too aware of its own quirckiness, but still one of the two Smith movies I pull before it started repeating itself in the guise of gimmicks. In fact, he just didn't have much to offer. Just too student-like in the technical field to get a high rating. But the fast pace, the optimal use of the setting (the Mall as its own universe) and the beautiful girls make it worth it.
