Thanks to Teejey have had a look at the top 10 as I also think 6/10 films are very good. I just don't like Requiem for a Dream and about 2-3 films I've never seen.

Of course you notice that this comes from Tarantino, especially in the meeting between Walken and Hopper, but the confrontation between Slater and Drexl (Oldman) is also phenomenal. What a lovely figure that Drexl but also Slater is very "cool" . The ending is also very characteristic of Tarantino. True Romance is actually a movie with quite big names in which there is also a small role for Brad Pitt who plays a funny Floyd. The acting is really top notch and the sultry atmosphere is also good, although I don't see a 4.5* or 5* in it now.

It's not exactly the best work Tarantino has written, but if I compare it with a Wild At Heart that quotes tbouwh above, this is a much better film for me. Wild At Heart also has its moments, but has many, long-winded interludes and dialogues. Plus, I think Patricia Arquette is much nicer to watch than Laura Dern.

Very fantastic and wonderful movie. Thoroughly Tarantino; you wouldn't even say he wasn't in the director's chair. Tony Scott really did a great job here. The film is also packed with memorable scenes and rushes by, courtesy of a stellar cast: Gary Oldman is at his best as a villain, Pinchot is hilarious as the bumbling Elliot, as well as Brad Pitt as the stoned junkie. Slater wasn't exactly ideally cast for the lead role, but his duo with the cuddly Arquette is spot on. The wild romance and passion à la Bonnie&Clyde you could say. Living on the edge.

I have nothing negative to say about this film, of which I own a special edition (black cover with a silver cupid on it, who bears a heart with the names "Clarence" and "Alabama" in it). Why not 5* then? A personal frustration: I was just sad that Christopher Walken didn't return at the end to participate in the mexican shootout.

Revisited after a long time, and it's still nice to see the cast play well and man what a cast too. Some have small roles but still and the story is beautifully told and exactly what you can expect from Quentin Tarantino crazy but good. Truly a cult film that should not be missing in everyone's collection
