Gentleman Joe Palooka plot
Heavyweight boxer Joe Palooka is 'used' in a publicity campaign by two corrupt senators, who are devious to gain oil-rich territory. Both then want to transfer this territory to the state, ostensibly for the construction of a park. When Joe finds out that he has been used, he becomes disillusioned and stops competing. But his manager Knobby Walsh, his sparring partner Louie and his fiancée Anne Howe try to expose the activities of both corrupt senators in order to clear Joe's name.
