Carson's Law plot

Australia in the 1920s. Jennifer Carson is ahead of her time. She is a wife, mother, and lawyer—not a common combination at the time. Her father-in-law, Godfrey Carson, is the head of the respectable law firm in Melbourne where Jennifer works. He is determined to prevent Jennifer from becoming an independent woman.
