Starukhi plot

In a small village, women are requested by a commander to help an old woman who is the only respectable and influential person around. Often home-brewed vodka is given in exchange for this favor. However, the situation changes when a family of Uzbek refugees arrives in the village. They appear to genuinely care about the old woman.
