Les Quatre Vérités plot
In "Death and the Woodcutter", a humble beggar with a mechanical piano is overrun by harassment from the bureaucracy and the police. On the way to Madrid, he only thinks about death, but when he sees a funeral procession passing, he changes his mind. "The Raven and the Fox" tells the story of a vain and sickly jealous man who locks his beautiful wife in his apartment. Then "The Hare and the Turtle" describes the adventures of an Italian count who is married but has a mistress. However, his apparently discreet wife is smart and spiritual. The four-part series ends with "De Twee Duiven", in which two unsympathetic people are locked up in an apartment due to a defect in the lock.
