gem.

This story is about the fragility of relationships, but also about how strong relationships can be. Very subtly portrayed and played. As far as I'm concerned, the huge surprise in this movie is really Keira Knightley - I know her as a very beautiful girl who can play a bit, but here she is what a girl who can play very nicely. What annoyed me in many films, that she tries to portray emotions by making a lot of noise, there really is no such thing in this film - it's all as real as something. In comparison, the other actors - Eva Mendes and the men - are more of a support, but really stand out to me much less - they do their job, but nothing special.

Beautiful images to show us all that - moody in the blue colors of the night, somewhat improbably beautifully exposed now and then - but not disturbing, it always serves the purpose of portraying the actors - and what other purpose does a movie.

Then the story, not much seems to be happening, but there is definitely a lot going on - every syllable, every nuance does something in the story. And that right down to the last scene - subtle is again the word the nagging starts with, which may be the trigger for the story in the first place, and so this detail will be subtle too, and maybe form the sequel after the film's end - but the beginning may be subtle, the consequences definitely aren't.

The last scene is the best example of that - you may choose to ignore the signal for the sake of your relationship, but, you know someone, you know it. Is what actually happened then still relevant, is it the opportunity, the will, or the past deed? I come back to the fact that the film is subtle - this question remains open.

“In the middle of most nights, when I can't sleep I still replay you.”

A film with two faces. I found the part with Knightley and Canet, who are increasingly drawn to each other, extremely atmospheric and well done. Those two have a beautiful and pleasant chemistry.

Once the film focuses on Worthington and Mendes, everything falls apart like a plum pudding. No tension or chemistry between the two at all. Knightley and Worthington are a couple, but in one night the film actually plays the game "Who cheats first?". Last Night is certainly atmospheric, but unfortunately the film is only partially successful.

Beautiful movie!

Wonderful music too! Wow ! A sad affair indeed and the ending is also a bit abrupt, could have easily watched it for more than 45 minutes.

Fat 9 ?
