Ocho is a poet and is on holiday in Barcelona, where he wanders aimlessly among the tourists on the beach. When he meets the handsome Javi, he invites him to his apartment. After a one-night stand, Javi notes that they met twenty years ago, when they both had girlfriends.

Argentinian slightly mysterious drama film about two kindred spirits who meet again after 20 years.....
Beautiful cinematography of the beach and the sea near Barcelona. Visually stunning images of light blue and purple skies..... Many outdoor scenes in the beginning, later more indoors. Music is minimal in the film, only during their very first meeting and at the end of the film, besides that mainly ambient sounds. The two attractive-looking male protagonists play natural, realistic and chemistry is palpable.
Ocho and Javi run into each other on the beach in Spain, later Ocho calls out to Javi from his balcony and they meet at Ocho's apartment. Then the men turn out to have a shared past and memories are retrieved afterwards.
Summary: the first 10-15 minutes of the film go at a slow pace, there is no spoken text, nor music, only images of Ocho walking around Barcelona. Then the film hits hard with a fierce scene, after which the film continues as a kind of mumblecore. The balcony à la Romeo and Juliet and the T-shirt have a striking key role and regularly return in the plot. The timeline is juggled through flashbacks and the difference in appearance between past and present is not always clear, which sometimes makes it somewhat difficult to follow the story. Beautiful mysterious, melodramatic music at the end of the film.
Message: I like Argentinian films with little music and a slow pace. The film makes you think about: is it true or was it just fantasy? Is it about hope, despair, wistful longing for the past or unfulfilled wishes? And how coincidental is the meeting of two wandering souls again? Before that I will watch the film again, perhaps then a number of puzzle pieces will fall into place.......
It is a very special movie with a very original plot!

Don't be shocked by this film about a homosexual friendship. I found the whole thing about the past a bit pulled by the hair. Forced and unbelievable, actually leading to nothing. Timeline and flashbacks are confusing and fail to take me into the spirit of the story.
Cinematographically decent indeed, decent acting and camera handling. I may have missed the layering in the film where coincidences in life determine your life.

Terribly bad story.
I thought my life was boring and simple, but this is 100x worse.
What a dead idea.
And what are these weird flashbacks?
The only bright spot are the sometimes beautiful images of Barcelona.
But other than that, it's really not worth watching.
Really a waste of your time.
