Michel Petrucciani plot
The story of the French jazz pianist Michel Petrucciani, a small man who grew into a big man in the world of jazz. He played with the greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, Jim Hall and Wayne Shorter. His talent earned him numerous awards, including the prestigious Légion d'Honneur in 1994. Michel Petrucciani was a remarkable figure, both musically and physically. At a young age, Petrucciani fell prey to brittle bone disease, a hereditary condition that, in addition to a fragile skeleton, was also responsible for his small stature. He would eventually die of pneumonia in 1999, at the age of just 36. On the basis of interviews and a wealth of archive material, Radford sketches the portrait of a born artist. A man who, despite his short life and physical limitations, left his indelible mark on contemporary jazz.
