Beautiful, subtly gripping and often very funny romantic drama about a university-educated young man with Down syndrome, who falls in love with a female colleague, with all the consequences that entails. Great acting by the two protagonists makes this a feast for the eyes, although visually the film offers very little and you sometimes get seasick from the jerky camera work. Fortunately, the direct and above all honest script makes up for a lot.

A beautiful melodramatic film about the life of a man with Down syndrome. Pineda is indeed university educated, but an exception. To some extent, the film is realistic. A while back I saw a 'normal' boy with a girl with Down syndrome. At first I thought it was his sister, but I had to change that opinion when they kissed each other passionately on the mouth. Still, I maintain that being in a relationship with someone who has physical disabilities is not comparable to someone who has congenital mental disabilities and it has nothing to do with prejudice. The fact is that the mental, spiritual and personal development of someone with Down syndrome is not completely synchronized with someone who does not. So the contribution to the relationship will almost never be equal, one will always be more 'supervisor of'. But that doesn't take away from the fact that it's a beautiful and honest film. Well played by both protagonists!

A beautiful film in which it is played well in a beautiful story that also happened in our "rough" society. So it is possible, but with the right direction in the mental area you will come a long way. Nowadays you also notice this, for example in the store. Cash register fails and most people can no longer calculate 1.34 + 3.86 without a machine. Talk about knowledge.

The film has a fairly calm build-up and pure action fans will not find much of it. Still an eye opener for many of us, we are also biased. During the film I was also thinking about how I would react to my daughter's relationship with someone who has Down syndrome. Easy to say you agree but would the words come true in reality?

Daniel came across as a wonderful person, that should form the opinion, he is funny, intelligent, witty and practical as a person in his demeanor. A nice person to have around you.

One more point about the acting: the scene in the elevator was the highlight for us, also showed very well how excellent and nice the friendship between these two is!!!

A film that leaves you with a pleasant feeling and hopefully a little less prejudiced.

He gets an 8 from us!
