"What Happened to the Fabulous Diamond "Blue Star of the Nile"?..."

Former criminal-turned-private detective Horatio 'Boston Blackie' Black is accused of stealing the rare 'Blue Star of the Nile' diamond. The desperate police make a deal with Blackie: when he recovers the diamond, the charges are dropped. This time, the police go so far as to allow Blackie to wear a police badge. However, the journalist Dorothy Anderson keeps getting in his way.
