A Close Call for Boston Blackie plot

"BLACKIE TRIPS A BLONDE .... To Trap a Killer!"

Former criminal, now private investigator, Horatio "Boston Blackie" Black helps his old friend Geraldine "Gerry" Peyton and her baby. Gerry fears that her ex-husband, who has just been released from prison, will kill her and her baby. When Gerry's ex is found dead, Blackie is the prime suspect. Blackie asks his friend The Runt to help him prove his innocence. The urgency is urgent, as Police Inspector John Farraday, who likes to see Blackie behind bars, is hot on his heels.
