Reasonable film in which the two elderly neighbours are still good at arguing. Definitely more of the same, but not worse. An entertaining film in which the humour is just a bit spicier than in the first part. Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon are again a nice duo and Burgess Meredith (for whom this was his last film) also has a number of funny lines.

For me the 2nd part is a tad better than the first, the plot is unfortunately still as predictable as can be but a bit more happens with multiple sidelines. The old father was also very funny again but it was unfortunately predictable that he was going to die, not because of his old age but because of his speech earlier in the film, a bit of a shame the film did not especially need this kind of sentiment.

Matthau & Lemon remain a fantastic duo and this film fortunately benefits from that. Ann-Margret is also a nice addition in this 2nd part.

Slightly better than part 1 for me personally.
3*

In this sequel we go from winter to summer but the bickering remains the same. It doesn't sound very funny but Lemmon and Matthau are back on a roll. The story about their children for dramatic effect is far-fetched but doesn't spoil the fun. The very old Meredith, who was already suffering from Alzheimer's, provides, with some support apparently, the necessary hilarity as a "filthy old man". Also wait for the credits!
