Harry and Tonto plot
"Get a Lift"
Harry, a 72-year-old, lives in Manhattan with his red cat Tonto. One day he is ordered to leave the flat because the entire building will be converted into a parking garage. Harry immediately becomes homeless. He then decides to honor his children and grandchildren who live all over the country one by one with a temporary stay. With his hangover Tonto, the still virile Harry starts a ramble through America. He buys himself a second-hand car for this (his cat can't stand buses and he doesn't want to put the animal on a plane trip either). Along the way he comes into contact with all kinds of people from all walks of life.
