setback. Parts 1 and 2 were fun action/spy movies (okay, part 2 a lot worse), and this was suddenly a war/history drama? The first half was very long winded and totally uninteresting if you were expecting the same kind of movie. Only after a long time it started to get going and even then the action scenes could be counted on one hand. When the villain was revealed, I had long since forgotten who it was. The only comedy was the ridiculousness of some scenes, especially the one with Rasputin; what a display. It wasn't boring, but I wasn't very satisfied afterwards. Would first come out much earlier, so maybe a wannabe-1911 clone partly?

The subtitling was good in content, but went like an express train and strobe at times. That will not have contributed to the viewing pleasure.

5.5/10

Mediocre film in which a secret, independent intelligence service is formed. This third part is not immediately more of the same, since this is a prequel that takes place in a different time with also different characters. A somewhat messy story, a lot less action and Ralph Fiennes is not the best casting choice. Harris Dickinson (as his son) also lacks Taron Egerton's charm. It all looks good, but 3.0 stars would be just a bit too much.

It has to get going for a long time (45 minutes) and is then quite explanatory, but in the end a very entertaining film that fits well into the series. Very creative action scenes with an edge. Sometimes a little too forced, appropriate and measured in 20th century history.
