Very good ending to this beautiful film series.

Tom Cruise is back at his best. Again many spectacular scenes.

But sometimes they take a bit too long to tell the story, which I expected with such a long playing time. But it is not really long-winded, because the action scenes are just too good.

Whether this is the best of the series, I still have doubts. (I really should watch them again right after each other).

But that this is pure cinema, I am 100% sure.

I certainly enjoyed it, but I expected a bit more.

Visually really great & Tom Cruise's stunts are once again phenomenal.

But there is still something in the film that cannot hold my attention, which was not a problem in other parts... bizarre...

Running time is not a problem for me, I'm used to movies going over 2h30 by now

Tom Cruise is and remains one of the best actors, but this is certainly not his best film.

Still a bit of a disappointment. The previous part was already a bit too much science fiction for me and The Final Reckoning takes it a step further. It all becomes very futuristic and doomsday-like, which gets in the way of the fun a bit. The stakes are very high, but the solutions are sought in serious yet inimitable plans instead of the funny theater and double-dealing that this series always managed to entertain with so well. Where the previous film managed to compensate for that somewhat with extremely solid setpieces, this time they are – although well executed – a bit less creative. The denouement is even quite indebted to that of Fallout. And yes, it is a final film, so there are plenty of references to previous films (to the Langley break-in from part one even five times), but it all feels rather forced. Did anyone really want to know what the Rabbit's Foot from the third part actually was? All in all, a fine blockbuster that holds your attention for almost three hours, but I didn't experience any real surprises or adrenaline.

I agree with Thiver. The film lasts a good 160 minutes but it goes by remarkably smoothly. The pacing is good and I was sitting comfortably in the cinema. But that doesn't necessarily make it a good film. It also takes a while for the film to really get going and every now and then the film is very serious and dark. The most humorous part (which doesn't even fit very well) is when Cruise slaughters a number of villains off-screen and you mainly hear the sounds and only see Atwell on-screen. That was very funny. The set-pieces are not, however, fine with two big parts actually, the one with that submarine and the final scene. Exciting at times, if only because they keep making clichéd (but expert) use of ticking clocks to create a constant sense of urgency. Nevertheless, the film did go too far with some regularity and my suspension of disbelief had to try very hard to accept this - and no, that doesn't always work. That this part is the final part of the series was mainly in winks and references and especially the story that had to be great but in terms of action and film this all didn't feel like the final climax of the series. 3.0*.

A very nice franchise is concluded with this film.

Although my expectations for this movie were not really met, after seeing part 7 my expectations for this movie were very high. But the movie was disappointing.

Compared to Fallout and Dead Reckoning-Part one, which in my opinion were the best movies in the franchise, they had constant tension and kept your attention throughout the movie, but at some moments I missed the tension in this movie and it was hard to pay attention.

In the first hour they take the time to tell the story, too long in my opinion, too much information that all passes by very quickly. Only from then on, in my opinion, the film really starts with the missions and from that moment on I was purely enjoying it and it really felt like a mission impossible again.

Despite that, it remains a good ending and with Tom Cruise's stunts again very impressive.
