Blablabla and more blablabla, but….

With their misplaced jokes and their unfortunate statements, the characters are not of the handy type or very sympathetic and I think the act of Julia Louis-Dreyfus in particular succeeds very well.

Nice to see that the film is also alive with the dramatic consequences of a divorce on the one hand, and the absurdity of it on the other, and all this especially with regard to their teenage children.

A small 3.5.

Brought this one once and I thought the movie started very well, especially the first hour was fun and well underway. The second hour, was slightly less comedy oriented, but still entertaining.

I thought the cast was on a roll and I was pleasantly surprised by the lead actress.

Not a great movie, but I had a good time with it.

“Did they just turn the music louder.”

“No, I think you just got older.”

Enough Said is a beautiful and intimate film about two 40-somethings who start dating again after their divorces and have a lot of fun with each other. The film doesn't need big gestures or expressions to impress and Julia Louis-Dreyfus and James Gandolfini make a fun duo and you enjoy watching their scenes and their growing feelings for each other.

The dialogues are a strong point and feel lifelike. It's not a movie about two beautiful young people who repulse each other but get each other in the end, but about two "oldies" who look normal and have some scratches and both have a daughter who moves out of the house. Sometimes refreshing. That the film then wants to bring in some contrived drama with Gandolfini's ex who befriends Dreyfus, I forgive the film. Toni Collette and Ben Falcone have to provide the comic relief and despite the fact that they are a bit repetitive, their bickering remains amusing. Enough Said won't stay with you for long, but it's a fun movie with Gandolfini and Dreyfus as a charming duo.
