Blondie plot

"The favorite comic strip of millions at last on the screen!"

Blondie and Dagwood Bumstead have been married for almost five years and she and their child, Baby Dumpling, are in financial trouble. Blondie urges Dagwood to ask his boss JC Dithers for a raise. Blondie bought new furniture for the living room on credit as a surprise. When Dagwood arrives at work, however, he is held liable for the repayment of a loan to Dither's former secretary Elsie Hazlip, which he had approved. Dagwood begs Dithers for a raise, but the hard-hearted Dithers refuse.

There are several sequels to this film, and maybe I'll watch one again sometime,

because I liked this one, with a crazy amount of attention paid to a malfunctioning vacuum cleaner.

Film adaptation of the newspaper strip published since 1930. Not very good, it's all a bit Zeg 'ns Aaa level in terms of acting and humor. It's surprising how modern the 1930s actually were with electricity, installment purchasing and cars.
