Cheap, international thriller that nevertheless managed to get the famous actor Antonio Banderas for the lead role. And that is immediately the strongest point of this film, because a lesser actor could have turned the character Matt Guitierrez into an emotionless priest and thus ruined the entire film. Banderas, however, is in excellent shape and thanks to the fascinating script and the reasonable acting of the rest of the cast, this film manages to entertain for more than an hour and a half.

The scheming of the Catholic Church is the pinnacle of this film, and you wonder how things would actually turn out if the body of Christ were actually found (if not long ago). British veteran Derek Jacobi plays a nice supporting role as a priest who doubts his faith when he sees the tomb of Christ. The film was shot in Israel.
