In the sequel, the humor and police work get a bit more attention, while the mix in part 1 with the stunts and fights was better dosed. But it still works by itself. Jackie Chan is still in top form in 1988. And I do like the storyline between him and Maggie Cheung's character. It belongs to this franchise of course, but in this 2nd part it is in my opinion too much police film and a little less Jackie Chan film, compared to the first part. Stunt work and choreography are in order again, although this movie doesn't have the memorable scenes that part 1 had.

So I have the 2 hour version of this movie, and the action is good, but I found the story messy and it is just a bit too long for me. But that should not spoil the fun because this is still one of Jackie's better films.

Mediocre film about a cop who is demoted to traffic cop. The meager story of this action comedy never fails to captivate. The action scenes and stunt work are definitely worth it, but there are simply too few of them here. Especially considering the length (I've also seen a 2-hour version).
