"The game has come full circle."
Agent Strahm has passed away, and Detective Hoffman is put forward as the undisputed successor to Jigsaw's legacy of atrocities, including yet another preconceived plan in which prisoners must prove themselves against the sins they've committed. When the FBI is close to arresting Hoffman, he triggers a new game, containing Jigsaw's last wishes to be fulfilled.

A big improvement on the last Saw movies. In this one, the hectic camera work is only applied at moments when it fits and not just throughout the entire film. There is also more story in this film. The big plot twist that we get presented in most Saw films at the end is a bit lacking here. But this is still one of the best sequels in this series!

Like so many films in the series, some decent murders, sometimes even bloody, but that too only lasts a few minutes and a lot of posturing around that Saw universe that doesn't interest me at all. That stuff with detectives, background stories and rather far-fetched reasons to punish people. Watched out yes, but mainly in the background. 1.5*.
