Revenge of the Nerds plot
"The time has come for REVENGE OF THE NERDS"
Some "nerds" - socially low-ranking high school chicks who don't stand a chance among the girls - form a college fraternity that takes on more athletic boys' clubs during annual competitions.

An ode to the underdogs, and everyone has been the underdog at some point in their life. Lewis and Gilbert aren't physically with them and are labeled "nerds" by the "jocks" from day one of college, a stigma that will follow them throughout the movie with the humiliations added. The nerds do not give up and hit back and also get support. I did enjoy this review. Sexism takes the cake and the humor is often on the level of tits and burps. Nevertheless, it has become a jolly comedy that dares to be a little naughty but never indulges in vulgarity. Good! 3* with option on 3.5*

In the 80s you had a lot of these kinds of movies, but why exactly this title has remained so well-known is a mystery to me.
The characters are portrayed very over-acting, with the exception of Booger who was clearly the nicest character.
A few successful jokes but nothing really funny, and the competition at the end is of course also very predictable and even done a lot even in the 80s.
The film clearly has its moments, but I still prefer other 80s classics.
