It's the last day of school in May 1976 in Austin, Texas. Without a fixed pattern or story, we follow how some students experience their last day of school. There are bizarre initiation rites, love affairs that begin and end, copious drinking and, above all, great boredom despite the students constantly hunting for tickets to the city's Aerosmith concert.

Hit & miss.
And this time another miss for Linklater. Couldn't do much with this movie and that's mainly due to the characters. That there is not really a plot is not a problem, Linklater is better anyway when he makes character and / or time sketches, but then you need some nice characters to pass the time with.
Dazed & Confused is a collection of Americano clichés. Followers, jocks, the dopey kids. I have not been able to discover much nuance, nor many pleasant characters. Few personalities, a lot of acorns and annoying guys.
The film follows different groups that change their composition throughout the playing time and cross each other again and again. Completed with a soundtrack that reels off a lot of well-known work from the 70s. And that's about it. In terms of recognizability, I think it will mean a lot more to the average American high schooler, I know these clichés mainly because of an excess of American high school films and series.
Not the kind of characters I like to spend 90 minutes with. Nor a setting that I cherish enormously melancholic feelings for. And then this film has very little to offer, except for a certain natural with which everyone zooms through the village.

Wow, even after having seen it 5 times, this is a movie that I can enjoy over and over again and where I stare at my screen with a wide grin every time.
It's not for nothing that Dazed and Confused is a top 10 movie for me, everything seems to be right here! The soundtrack is wonderful and has no weak songs and on top of that the edited images and acting are so good that you have the feeling that you are there yourself. 
The characters are also lifelike.
This film gives me the same feel-good feeling as the Woodstock film from 1970, a time that I really wanted to experience and this film is therefore the ultimate dream.
Delicious, remains a masterpiece by Linklater and will remain in my top 10 without a doubt.
