"The past, present, and future. The thoughts and images of one man... for all men. One man's dreams... for every dreamer."

This film consists of eight short stories. 1. Sunshine Through The Rain: A little boy is told not to go outside when it rains and the sun shines because that's when the foxes are celebrating their wedding feasts, which could have fatal consequences for those who see this. 2. The Peach Orchard: The same little boy encounters the ghosts of peach trees that have been knocked down by heartless people. 3. The Blizzard: A group of mountaineers are rescued during a snowstorm by spiritual intervention. 4. The Tunnel: A man encounters the ghosts of an army platoon for whose death he is responsible. 5. Crows: An art student meets Vincent van Gogh and enters a world of his paintings. 6. Mount Fuji in Red: Nuclear 'meltdown' threatens to destroy Japan. 7. The Weeping Demon: An image of a 'post-bomb' world inhabited by human mutations. 8. Village of the Watermills: A cheerful portrait about a village in which the population is one with nature.
