Las Azules plot
In 1971, four women defy ultra-conservative norms and join Mexico's first female police force. However, they soon discover that it is a publicity stunt to distract the media from a serial killer. As the body count mounts, they make a pact to bring the killer to justice.

If you expect an exciting crime series, you will have to be patient until about the last 2 episodes. In terms of structure, this series is quite slow. The struggle of the policewomen in the world of the rather corrupt policemen is shown as a drama. This does not take away from the fact that the whole is interesting enough to keep watching, no matter how soap-like it is sometimes portrayed. The sixties atmosphere is nicely portrayed with ditto attributes. I have no experience with Mexican films or series, but this one was at least a great watch.
