Slightly less in the review. This is mainly due to the first half hour. The movie gets off to a slow start. The recap for the opening credits is ridiculous, like you're watching some series. "last episode on Hellraiser:......". Then there is another recap later. Totally unnecessary and adds nothing to the film.

When the film manages to shake off this yoke, the level rises slightly. Or let me put it this way, the movie gets a little more interesting. The leading ladies are fun and Julia is back again. The Cenobites are not yet fully utilized, but they will be later in the series.

What lovely weather.

The hellraiser series needs to be seen further, because I was already enthusiastic in the first part, and that is continued here. However, it does not come close to part 1, but comes pretty close, because here too the wonderful fun while watching is again abundantly present.

What makes this film slightly less than the previous part is the less prominent roles of the Cenobites, who really had their grip on the entire first part. Here they are occasionally in the picture, but actually do very little. The villain Julia is much less impressive.

However, this part is clearly slightly larger and clearly has a larger budget. It's great that they managed to complete this entire project with only 3 million, and that was also the case with the first part with 1 million. In my opinion, much more was put into this.

The horror in this movie just makes it. The gore is often impressive and hard. The atmosphere is fairytale-like and nice and rude, and the film entertains until the last minute. This is everything Hellraiser should be, and this film again does it well.

Too bad Pinhead is a little less in the picture. He's making the movie anyway. The film tries to fill this in by coming up with a much more bizarre Cenobite. (The doctor). This appearance manages to fill a large part, but the quotes of Bradley as Pinhead are a bit missed.

The film is very imaginative and original. Lots of cool horror with lots of colors and cool gore. The 97 minutes don't feel a moment too long. During the first part I already had a lot of fun watching it, and I enjoyed watching this again.

However, the acting is not very high-quality, and Julia makes little impression. However, it is all a bit more spectacular compared to part 1 and it continues to be a lot of fun. Hopefully Bradley will be more present during part 3.

The strongest part of the entire Hellraiser series, with the Gore and dark atmosphere defining the film.

Certain scenes also give you an eerie feeling that the director perfectly conveys to the viewer.

A gem in horror film history and more than worth watching
