"Unlock your fears."
A young woman, struggling with an addiction, comes into possession of an old puzzle box. However, she does not know that it can summon the so-called “Cenobites”. The Cenobites are a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension who certainly have no good plans.

If you like the originals, I don't recommend watching this one.
If you're watching it for the first time, you could still take a gamble, but this film doesn't have real action and scary feeling.
I think it's a very feminist movie , none of the cenobites are male (in the Original there were both female and male)
The female pinhead looks pretty good, but when she opens her mouth I wonder if they got the concept right. I think you should be afraid of this person / fear / aversion etc., but this voice does not let me experience the feeling of horror.
The story is not very strong, a bit off and explains little to new viewers who are not yet familiar with the franchise.
I personally think that if you do a reboot it should be either just as good or even better considering the advancement of the movie technique.
I am a big fan of hellraiser ( especially the first 3 parts ) but this movie is a mockery and an insult to the franchise .

Hellraiser
Saw the very first Hellraiser not long ago. I give them both 3 stars. Of course this one looks nicer. We are already living in 2022, so that is also allowed. I liked the first movie better. The 1st movie also only lasted 90 minutes and this one lasted 2 hours. I think it could have been a little shorter. The cenobites looked great again and of course the puzzle box too.

Mediocre film about a woman who steals a box, without knowing what it is. The first half is pretty boring, as it's mostly about the mysterious puzzle box (and if you've seen a previous Hellraiser, this isn't much of a mystery anymore). The second half is a bit better, with more horror scenes and the Cenobites also look fine. It could easily have been a lot shorter.
