“As far as you're concerned any sex we had is entirely a product of your imagination.”

Atmospheric film noir. What an incredibly sexy lady that Linda Fiorentino is, and The Last Seduction is a kind of tour de force for her. Because she certainly does seduce, and Fiorentino plays femme fatale Bridget with such dedication that she also becomes irresistible to the viewer.

However shrewd, immoral and unfeeling she operates to achieve her goal. Men like Pullman and Berg don't stand a chance in advance. The wonderful jazzy soundtrack also contributes to the dark and smoky atmosphere that hangs there all the time. Just like the cinematography. What really completes The Last Seduction is the unsentimental ending in which Fiorentino gets away with everything. That's how it should be in these kinds of movies.

Mediocre to reasonable film that looks out of control for the most part, but still shows something of a nice plot towards the end.

What immediately stands out is the always delightful Fiorentino, this time in a pretty sneaky role that she portrays convincingly. The rest of the cast does a fine job as well, Berg as the brainless provincial who opens his eyes to everything and Pullman as a slick semi-criminal who has just as well let himself be used. The beginning is still nice, but the middle part looks rudderless. What is Bridget actually up to? In addition, that part is not very atmospheric, sometimes even boring.

From the moment Bridget wants Mike to kill someone it is clear that this must be Clay of course. A nice plot, the circle is complete, then comes forward with her plan in which she immediately gets rid of both. Fiorentino also acts very strongly in the last phase in the apartment.

Yet it is all not enough to save the film, despite the ending plot and the excellent acting of Linda Fiorentino, the film lacks the necessary tension, atmosphere and pace. The only reason for me to watch the film was Fiorentino himself. Besides that, The Last Seduction is a whole that I will soon forget.
