Le Torrent plot
When Alexandre discovers that his young wife Juliette is cheating on him, a violent argument breaks out. Juliette runs off into the night and dies. The next day, torrential rains wash away her body. The gendarmerie starts an investigation and Patrick, Juliette's father, arrives, ready to do anything to find out what happened during that night of flooding. Alexandre, afraid of being accused, persuades Lison, his daughter from his first marriage, to cover for him. However, he sinks deeper and deeper into the lies and Patrick begins to suspect him.
