Frequency is a decent film, not a masterpiece, but a film with a very interesting concept. Of course, the Butterfly theory has already been applied in various films. The film made a good point that every small change can change and determine the entire future.

The film is actually a detective or police film where the search for a serial killer is very difficult. In itself a good starting point, although the elaboration is very poor and it doesn't amount to much. The story is thin and wafer thin. Lots of holes and sloppy finish. Nevertheless, the concept brings the film to an acceptable level. NNormally, the serial killer would have died in the hospital if Frank Sullivan himself hadn't survived the fire. In this way father and son realize what dangerous game they are playing: everything influences each other. I thought the idea that the radio waves are sent by the northern lights was a bit simple. Also the happy ending that John Sullivan is playing baseball again is quite melodramatic and kitschy.

Also in terms of acting performances I am not blown away, not very convincing. Expectations were low, so it wasn't that bad with this print. A narrow 3.5* if only for the excellent concept! Too bad John forgot to give the correct lotto numbers...

A nice mix of the incomprehensible paradoxes surrounding time travel and the resulting plot twists, tension, and (at the heart of the film) the emotional charge of the bond between the father and the son played by two sympathetic actors. What's not to like? Seen it several times, but never bored and always leaves me satisfied.

Recently, my first viewing of this mystery-sci-fi thriller and it looked away smoothly. There was enough tension and twists in it.
