Arthur and Lucie are a couple. Lucie wants a child, but Arthur is not ready for it. They go with friends to a big New Year's Eve party at the turn of the millennium in Paris. Arthur then discovers a kind of portal to the future, and suddenly he lives in the future Paris of 2070. From that moment on, the film switches back and forth from 1999 to 2070.
